Radar Altimeter shows your altitude above ground level. It is designed to give an approach to real Radar Altimeter aircraft instrument. Of course Apple iPhone, iPod and iPad has not a real built in Radar device, but the experience of this software is really close to a real instrument. The Altitude is calculated combining two data sources. The built in GPS altitude and the terrain height from a database.
